Front Porch

The porch is looking great! We are very happy with the progress!!

Back to the Roof

The master bedroom sitting area roof was finished today and they began the roof gable that will be over the front porch.





Like everything else, I can't wait to see it finished!

We have some decisions to make this week....the color of siding that we will use for the back porch area and under the soffits, etc. We also need to think about the material we want for the gable that is currently being built (picture two above). We are leaning more toward cedar shakes. The windows have arrived at the window company and we are just waiting for the 'go ahead' to call and get them delivered. Hopefully that will be in the next week or so! We also are getting bids on roofing. Fun, fun!

I am so thankful for the nice weather we have had!!

Roof Progress

The rain finally stopped Friday, so the framers got busy on the roof and got the majority of it out of the weather. My husband now has to get over there with the shop vac and get the standing water off the floor from last week's awful downpours.
They will finish putting tar paper on the sides of the roof and then begin the next step....which should be building the porch gable.

Rain Rain Go Away...

Come Again Another Day!



Blandex started going up this morning and then the (much needed) rain hit. Hopefully we'll have better progress tomorrow and more exciting pictures to post in the next few days.
