Emmett turns 2!

Emmett had a golf PARTEE for his second birthday. We were already there for Thanksgiving, so it's always fun getting to help my sister-in-law set up for the party. We always joke about going into business with each other and starting a party planning company....but that's usually when it's midnight and we've had too many Diet Dr. Pepper's to count. We get a little giggly and start high-fiving each other when one comes up with a brilliant decorating idea. So fun!

Carrie had lots of cute ideas for this party and it turned out adorable!

The kids had a blast playing golf in the front yard. Emmett is blessed with lots of little friends and family that love him. Happy 2nd birthday to one of the sweetest boys I know.

Thanksgiving- Round 2

We went to Nathan, Carrie, and Emmett's for Thanksgiving day. We always have so much fun together.

The kids decorated Indian vests and headbands and posed for a cute pic!

We are also making it a tradition for the kids to make a gingerbread house on Thanksgiving night. Last year was our first year and let me tell you, it was pathetic. I couldn't get it to stand. So this year's house, in comparison, was incredible! The boys are still not interested, so it was just me, Grasen, and Carrie. We had a lot of messy fun!!

We are very thankful for our family and the special memories that we make together.

Thanksgiving- Round 1

We had thanksgiving with my parents, brother, and his children tonight. The kids love getting together to play.

We have so much to be thankful for- everyone is healthy, we have good jobs, a roof over our heads, food on the table, and a Lord that loves us unconditionally and forgives us for all of our wrongdoings. We are blessed.

Thanksgiving Feasts

The kids had their feasts at school today. We are so blessed that Grasen has a fantastic teacher. It is difficult being a teacher and a mommy because I can't always leave my students to be with Grasen during her special events in the classroom. Thankfully there are times like today where it just worked itself out. Mrs. Grigsby and I teamed up for our classes feast. Grasen's class were the pilgrims and we were the Indians. I was able to be Mommy and teacher at the same time. It was wonderful!

After Mrs. Grigsby's room was cleaned up and my student's were out at recess, I raced over to Bayler's preschool to get a picture of my little Indian during his pizza feast!

I am blessed indeed.

Santa Letters

The kids wrote their letters to Santa tonight. This is the first year that Bayler wrote by himself. I spelled the words for him.

He wants a doll (or a boy baby as he's been telling us) and a truck. I think Santa can deliver!

Grasen wants a doll highchair, a princess book, a flashlight, a baby doll and a princess cup.

Trimming the Trees!

Birthdays

It is mine and Jordan's birthday weekend. It's always been nice celebrating our birthdays together, however going from celebrating turning 15 and 16 to turning 29 and 30 went rather quickly. :/

Our friends took us out to dinner tonight to celebrate. It was a neat little cajun restaurant with live music. We had SO much fun! And I had the best blackened filet ever. We will definitely go back!

I thoroughly enjoy getting together with our little group of friends. It has been wonderful growing up together and now as I'm the first one to hit 30 it's just unreal....I feel like I should be an adult by now... ;)

This is a horrible picture of me and my double chin, but this is what Dawn and I do the whole time we are together. Laughter is good medicine.
