Kelly is continuing the home tour today with bathrooms!
I had a lot of fun picking out vanities and lights and paint colors for the bathrooms when we were building our home. I didn't want my bathrooms to be cookie cutter and I think I achieved my goal. They are very different from each other while still keeping with the overall style of the house.
Here is the master bathroom. This is my vanity. Finally, we don't have to share. This is our fourth house and first one to have two sinks! Sharing a sink has never been an issue for us, but it is nice to have our own if we are getting ready at the same time.
I'm wanting to say I found the vanities at Home Decorators Collection online.
Out of all three bathrooms the lights in here are my fav!
The extra tiled space has become a fun hopscotch game for the kids. Who knew?
And this is Jordan's vanity- which gets a lot dirtier a lot faster than mine does. I don't know how that works.
This is my de-stresser, my first jetted tub. I. love. her.
Bless my husband's heart. He did a fabulous job on the showers, but this shower made him pull his hair out. It's big...and it's all tile....9 feet high. We do love it.
And the commode, which is pretty standard. We love that it is enclosed in it's own little room. One thing that I begged a little for while building was this toilet (in each bathroom). It is smooth all around the bottom by the floor, no knob thingies to mess with, a dream to clean, if that's possible.
Next is the kids' bathroom and my favorite of the three. Their vanity came from Sam's Club online. It is very dark brown, almost black. I like that the drawers don't slam, they close slow.
All of the bathroom mirrors came from Hobby Lobby, half off! This one is a monster- it took two men and a woman or two, along with a special $20 molly wall anchor, to get hung correctly.
I don't know what I was thinking by not taking a better picture of one of my favorite things- the brick floor! You can see a little of it in this picture. I was not on my husband's good list during brick floor installation and especially during the black grout removal. It was a nightmare! But it looks good now and that's all that matters, right?!
And finally the 3/4 bathroom or guest bathroom. This is our only whoopsie during the building process. It needs two little canned lights. The sconces give off a romantic glow while using the potty. We thought they would be strong enough since the space is quite small, but they're not. It's on our to-do list or should I say it's on my honey-do list!
This was my husband's brilliant idea....on our house plans this was to be a 3/4 bathroom with a stand up shower, but once sheetrock was done and measurements were taken there was no room for the shower. After tossing around ideas and just being down right disappointed, he decided to build the shower under the stairs that go up to the theatre room. Amazing. It all worked out perfectly!
Thanks so much for stopping by today to tour our bathrooms!
