Gran's 80th Birthday

Jordan's grandmother turned 80 yesterday. Her four girls, Laurie, Susan, Phyllis, and Janice- who is Jordan's mother, hosted a beautiful celebration today honoring Gran.

Many friends, some even life-long friends, and family came to celebrate with us.

These are Gran's grandchildren- Leslie, Jordan, Nathan, and Maranda. Jordan and Nathan are brothers and Leslie and Maranda are sisters. They were all very close growing up.

We added spouses to this picture! Zach, myself, Stephen, and Carrie!

These are 4 out of 5 of Gran's great-grandchildren- Paige, Grasen, Bayler, and Emmett.

Gran enjoyed looking at every little detail of her special day. This was a family tree in pictures. There were also special recipes that were framed and many of those foods were made for the party.

In our family no celebration is complete without lots of yummy food! We tend to go a little overboard. ;)

Paige and Grasen- cousins and friends.

Emmett and Carrie- two of my favorites. One day we will live closer to each other, but for now visits every few weeks will have to do!

Gran with my parents! I love Jordan's family for many reasons- one for the way they have loved my family. They have included my parents in every holiday and birthday celebration since the very beginning. I am so thankful for this.

It was a beautiful day honoring one of the sweetest and Godly women I know. We hope for many more years with her.

Sick boy

Bayler has been sick twice since beginning preschool. I had to take him to the dr today- fever and bad cough.

He sure did keep Mommy entertained while waiting on the dr to arrive! You can't really tell it from the pictures, but he has a sinus infection and the start of another ear infection. More antibiotics! Hopefully we can get rid of this and not have to worry about sick babies for a long time.

The upside of being a little puny is extra loving at night! Poor thing kept vomiting from coughing so hard. Snuggling with Daddy helps anything.

Homecoming Spirit Week

Grasen was so excited to dress up each day during Spirit Week! We started out our week with p.j's on Monday.

Then hat and shades day. What a cutie pie!

Mommy was sweatin' bullets with camo day- like we have anything camo in our house! I finally found something.

Grasen had fun during the parade on Friday all dressed in her red and white!

Football!

The kids thoroughly enjoyed their first football game! Is there anything better than sharing cotton candy?

They were exhausted on the ride home!

Fall is in the air!

Pumpkins, coffee, sweaters, boots.....I love all things about fall! I especially love decorating my house for the Fall season.

Definitely our favorite apothecary jar in the house!

I started last weekend because I had a few free hours and while grocery shopping today I noticed they have the pumpkins, gourds, and mums out, so I will spruce up the porch next weekend!

Bye bye baby bed!

I had said I would keep Bayler in his crib until he either learned to climb out of it or was too big for it, but the time has come! It was just getting too rough on the back picking him up and laying him all the way down in his bed.

Daddy went up to the attic this morning and got the conversion rails and now his baby bed is a toddler bed. We have one happy 3 year old!

He napped just fine, had to tell him once to lay down, but he finally went to sleep like a big boy.

Cruisin'

We are enjoying our beautiful weather right now. The kids enjoy cruisin' with the top down any chance they get.

We played outside for two hours this morning- bikes, scooters, playhouse. Our neighbor, Parker, joined us for some outside play and then they enjoyed legos and dolls for awhile inside. It was a fun and lazy morning.
