Last day of school

Today was the last day of kindergarten for Grasen and last day of preschool (this year) for Bayler. I didn't think they changed too much until I really inspected their pictures. Grasen grew taller and thinned up. Bayler lost his baby look.

We had a super year! They had the best teachers that loved on them every day and taught them so much. I never worried about them because I knew they were in such good hands. And I love that they wanted to go to school.

Water Day!!

One of the school days that the kids look forward to most- water day. Grasen had hers on the 24th and Bayler had his today.

I loved being able to leave my class with their parent leader for a few minutes and run over to Grasen's station and watch her have fun. She was so exhausted after school.

Bayler was uber excited before school that morning. And when I picked him up that afternoon they told me "He was done after his shoes got wet. He wanted to go in and change them." So funny!

John Deere

Daddy came home with his first riding mower today. He has been needing one since we moved into our home. It was just too much to push mow, but he did it for over two years. His smile speaks for itself.

8 years

Jordan and I celebrated 8 years of marriage today! It was a low-key anniversary. We gave hugs and kisses before work and then met at the ball field for Grasen's softball game this evening. ;) That's the best kind of day in my book. If it revolves around my kiddos I am a happy girl! God truly blessed me when he gave me Jordan for a husband. I look forward to the next 8+ years....hopefully they don't go as fast as the first 8.

Memorial Day

We shared a quiet Memorial Day at home this year. We had a busy and fun weekend, so we needed to catch up on rest today. We did a little cooking...tilapia, pork tenderloin, green beans, and banana bread.

We are very thankful for all those who have fought or are currently fighting for our freedom, especially my Daddy!

Memorial Day Weekend

We visited Nathan, Carrie, and Emmett this weekend. They recently moved so we were excited to see their new home. We did a little fishing, toured their land, and caught up.

IPhone Pics

I need to clear some random pictures off of my phone ;)

This was one Friday night at home. I took the kids to the grocery store after school and we got some ingredients to make home made pizza. They really enjoyed making it and it was really good. It will be a staple in our home now!

Both G and B have had a blast at their games so far this season. I think it's safe to say mom, dad, nana, papa, yaya, and pop have enjoyed it a little too!

We went to cousin Leslie's birthday lunch in March and had a lot of fun. We enjoyed a yummy Italian lunch and then Bayler and the women walked around the outdoor outlets. The fire engine always makes the shopping trip better for B. Grasen went with cousin Paige to Leslie's house and danced her heart out for hours.

Mom texted me one morning that Bayler had thrown up at school. I went to get him and he hadn't taken his school pictures yet, so he did that and then we went home. He got sick once more and then felt better.

Bayler had superhero day at school in April. He hadn't really made it to that phase yet...he is in the 4 and 5 year old class because of academics, but he's still into cars and not really superheros. Needless to say, I didn't have anything for him. I found him a cape and mask at walmart and ironed on his name. Worked in a pinch!

We do not have a kindergarten graduation ceremony at our primary school, but we do cap and gown pictures and send home a nice diploma at the end of the year. When I got her pictures back, my mind flashed forward about 11 years...high school graduation will be here in the blink of an eye.

Bayler made a lot of new friends this year. This was his first year of preschool and he has really enjoyed it.

Miss Sam is closing her children's boutique, so while mommy shopped the B's entertained the kiddos. This picture is very special to me. Miss Sam watched Jordan and Nathan when they were babies. When Jordan and I were dating I watched the B's for several years. And now the oldest, Brittany, keeps my children when I need her to. It only makes sense that Grasen will one day be the babysitter of the B's children. ;)

The Friday before Mother's Day, Bayler's preschool class hosted a Mother's Day breakfast for the students' moms. It was super nice- bacon, sausage, waffles, fruit, juice...they went all out. I had a volunteer cover my classroom so I could eat with Bayler and it was so fun! That is one reason I love his preschool- they go out of their way to make things special, not just for the students but for their families.

Ty's Birthday

We celebrated Ty's 7th birthday at the new jump place in our town. The kids had a sweaty blast.

Mother's day

I had the best mother's day weekend! Jordan came home with a pan of cinnamon rolls on Friday- the best ever. I have been on a diet so they were my little cheat for the weekend.

The kids came home from school with cute little gifts. I loved Bayler's answers to all those questions. Grasen made me a pinch pot in art. I have seen kindergarteners make those pots year after year after year and finally....I got one! :) I am so happy to be their mom!!

We went to a baseball game Saturday and had a lot of fun together.

I have two wonderful women to be thankful for everyday, but especially on Mother's Day. My Mom means more to me than she will ever know. And Janice, my mother-in-law, is not the typical mother-in-law. She is the absolute best and has treated me like her very own daughter for 15 years. I am so very blessed.

Date night!

Date night is rare for us. Jordan was suppose to have a district baseball tournament at his school today, but it got rained out. Hallelujah!!

We went to a Japanese Steakhouse, which is now our favorite place to eat!

It was nice to sit and chat and eat slowly. We even shopped a little after dinner. So fun!!
