At Last

It was a year ago that our dream was on a sheet of paper. It has been a year of many choices, many sacrifices, many long, hard days, and many nights of little sleep. Our dream is now reality. Tomorrow will be a week since we moved into our home. We got so much more accomplished than we thought we could by the time moving day came. It was such a smooth transition for us, the kids, and our dog. Thank you so much for your prayers. While it was the hardest move we have had to endure because of getting the new house ready and having to pack up the old house at the same time, it went really well and we are so thankful.

We still have a few things left to finish before the appraisal in a week or two. Carpet is going in upstairs tomorrow. We are waiting for granite to be installed next Tuesday at the latest. We are tired of eating out and honestly, I'm ready to cook again. The few dishes we make I'm having to wash by hand and we all know that's no fun. The dishwasher will be hooked up after countertops are in. The columns on the porch need to be painted and the interior columns need to go up.

We got the washer and dryer in on Sunday and I love them. I love the pedestal our cabinet maker made so I don't have to bend over. And I also love the little tune each appliance plays when its' cycle is complete.

I have really enjoyed myself decorating, not finished but getting close!

I love watching the kids run from their playroom to G's room then to B's room. They are really enjoying the extra space that we didn't have in our last two homes. We have played out in our driveway several times already and they are just having a blast.

We are so grateful for our family and friends that helped us throughout this long journey, whether it was lending a hand during the building process, making a run for us to pick something up, bringing us dinner or having us over for dinner, watching the kiddos, I could go on and on. We thank you.

As soon as we are completely settled I plan to do a picture post....stay tuned! :-)
